Takes the reins from Petur Halldorsson, who now joins the Nox Board of Directors
Nox Health, a global leader in sleep diagnostics and value-based sleep care management, today announced that Ingvar Hjalmarsson has been appointed President of its Nox Medical business. In this role, Ingvar will have responsibility for the Nox sleep diagnostics technology business, which provides sophisticated sleep testing solutions and analysis software to sleep healthcare providers in over 50 countries worldwide.
Ingvar Hjalmarsson, a seasoned executive with a decade of dedicated service to Nox Medical, steps into his new role, taking the reins from Petur Mar Halldorsson, whose leadership catapulted Nox Medical to international acclaim in sleep diagnostics. Under Halldorsson’s guidance, Nox Medical’s revenue has grown forty-fold since 2011. Presently, Nox Medical has approximately 120 employees, contributing to Nox Health’s broader mission in the field of sleep health, where a combined total of around 400 dedicated professionals are focused.
Ingvar will draw upon his extensive experience at Nox, which includes overseeing various aspects of the organization, such as product management, marketing, and company strategy. Additionally, Hjalmarsson brings nearly two decades of managerial expertise in high-growth industries.
Petur expressed his confidence in Hjalmarsson’s leadership: “We at Nox have had many reasons to celebrate over the past decade. The company’s growth has been rapid, and Nox is now well-positioned to assist medical providers worldwide in delivering care to the millions who need it. I am immensely proud of our accomplishments and delighted to see Ingvar take the reins and lead the way.”
Petur will join the board of directors for Nox Health, where he will continue to provide guidance and expertise to shape the company’s future.
Sigurjon Kristjansson, CEO of Nox Health, expressed enthusiasm for the company’s future, remarking, “Nox is at an exciting juncture. Our team is deeply committed to all aspects of medical sleep technology, sleep healthcare, and the alignment of payers and clinicians to make sleep care accessible worldwide.” He added, “We have assembled a highly skilled board of directors to guide our growth, and we are pleased to welcome Petur to this remarkable group. His expertise in the sleep diagnostic market is of great value to the board.”
Ingvar conveyed his excitement about his new role and the future of Nox Medical, saying, “While I am thrilled about my new role at Nox Medical, I also hold deep respect for the responsibility of succeeding Petur. Yet, when I look at the incredible team at Nox and the opportunities ahead, I feel overwhelming energy and anticipation. We are just beginning this journey.”
